PERSONAL STATEMENT:

A highly motivated and creative individual, with strong communication and team working skills. I am open minded in discussions, receptive to new ideas, reliable, and able to produce high quality work in an efficient fashion. I am able to produce visually striking works to a deadline and on budget.

I am passionate about all aspects of the filmmaking process, and I am particularly interested in directing and producing, skills which I have honed in both the practical projects undertaken during my degree and also on a number of projects undertaken in my own time. I am also experienced in both picture and sound editing.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Camera: Canon XM1, XM2, Sony Z1.
Post – Production: Adobe Premier Pro, Soundtrack Pro 2, Garageband, Final Cut Pro.
Sound Recording: Marantz.
Grip: Dolly and Track.
Lighting: Have worked with Blondes, Redheads, Kinoflow’s and Dadolights.

I am also well versed in many aspects of film production from health and safety procedures and organising auditions to arranging transportation to locations for cast and crew and organising call sheets and shooting schedules.

September 2004 – June 2006: A- Levels in Film Studies (B), Modern History (C), Photography (D), AS-Level in Geography (D), York College.

EMPLOYMENT:

January 2010 – Present: Sheffield Short Fiction Collaborators. Founder. This role involves running and maintaining a short fiction filmmakers network in Sheffield.

November 2009 – January 2010: Sort Of...Films. General Assistant (voluntary). This role involves me helping out wherever necessary, whether this be editing footage and carrying out research on projects in the production office and helping out on shoots. Or attending production meetings with clients and making notes.

June 2006 – Present: Dancing Henry Productions. Co-Head of Production. This role involves overseeing all productions within the company as well as seeking out new clients and collaborators, in addition to pushing the business forward in new and diverse ways.


INTERESTS:

I am passionate about all aspects of film production and criticism; I am particularly interested in the works of John Carpenter, David Cronenberg and George Romero.

I love to travel, especially to European cities of culture; favourites include Paris, Barcelona and Rome. I also enjoy music, art and playing football. I also enjoy listening to music and reading in my spare time.
